Tutorial on how to enable KDE Oxygen coloured mouse cursors in Ubuntu Unity and Gnome Desktops. An old bug prevents KDE mouse cursors being selected through Desktop Theme – Pointers. Workaround is with this terminal command line: sudo update-alternatives –config x-cursor-theme and then log out / reboot Packages for KDE mouse cursors: oxygen-cursor-theme oxygen-cursor-theme-extra
I use four screens, and sometimes lose my cursor. No more! I have Obi-WanQui-Gon to point the way for me. Using the Makezine Controller, a small X program, OSC, and a pair of servo motors, I have a real-life cursor (2.4MB video).
